The Village Administrator or his or her authorized representative is hereby authorized and directed to discontinue water service, giving reasonable notice to the occupant thereof, to any property whereon a connection in violation of any of the provisions of this chapter is known to exist, and to take such other precautionary measures as may be necessary to eliminate any danger of contamination of the public water supply or distribution mains. Water service to such property shall not be restored until such connection has been eliminated or corrected in compliance with this chapter.
