The licensing requirements of this chapter shall not apply to:
A. Newspaper carriers, whether subscriptions are taken or not;
B. Any person licensed to do such business by the state;
C. Any person under the age of eighteen (18) years unless employed by another person or organization;
D. Any candidate or representative of a registered political committee;
E. Representatives of any charitable or nonprofit organization when the solicitation is managed and conducted solely by officers and members of said organizations who are unpaid for such services;
F. Occasional sales or fundraising efforts by local schools, university student groups or local service clubs;
G. Commercial salesmen selling or soliciting orders from wholesale businesses, retail businesses, local governments and schools; (Ord. 322, 9-14-1995)
H. The city, its agents and concessionaires;
I. Any bona fide auction sale;
J. Garage, yard or similar sales by individuals at their residence or place of business not exceeding three (3) days in length nor exceeding four (4) in one calendar year, which sale shall not include business inventory. (Ord. 356, 8-21-2003)
