2-5-2: DEFINITIONS:
OPEN AIR MARKET: An organized grouping of sellers making goods available to the public, who are assigned to a table, stall or other specified location within a limited area for a limited period of time by one or more individuals, organizing groups or agencies. Operations commonly referred to as farmers' markets, craft fairs, and similar operations, shall be included within this definition.
PEDDLER, SOLICITOR, OR CANVASSER: Any person either as a principal or agent, who goes from place to place within the city or who, while not going from place to place, sells off of the back of a motor vehicle or other temporary location, and who:
   A.   Sells, takes orders for, or offers to sell, any goods, wares, merchandise, or services, whether collecting in advance for such goods, wares, merchandise, or services or not; or
   B.   Seeks contributions or donations in goods or legal tender.
PERSON: May be an individual, partnership, or corporation for purposes of licensing.
TELEPHONE SOLICITOR: Any person who, by telephone, sells, takes orders for, or offers to sell, any goods, wares, merchandise, or services, or who seeks contributions or donations in goods or legal tender (see definition of Peddler, Solicitor, Or Canvasser).
