A. Past Due Accounts: Electrical service shall be terminated at twelve o'clock (12:00) noon on the twenty-third day of any month for any property for which the billing for electrical service is past due on such date. At the time that the service is terminated, the meter at the service site shall be removed by the city.
B. Late Fees: All accounts that have a balance of ten dollars ($10.00) and are thirty (30) days past due shall be charged a late fee of one percent (1%) per month with a minimum of ten dollars ($10.00) per month.
C. Returned Check Fee: A returned check fee shall be added to all accounts for which a check is returned from the bank for any reason not the fault of the city. The fee shall be set by resolution of the Plummer City Council, and such fee shall apply separately to each check which is returned from the bank. The city can refuse to accept future personal checks from customers whose check has been returned by the bank for any reason not the fault of the city. (Ord. 443, 2-9-2017; amd. Ord. 463, 12-10-2020)
