6-2-5: SERVICE CONNECTION REQUIREMENTS:
   A.   Users must pay for all service connections, and additional lines shall be built, and connections made only under such terms and conditions as the mayor and city council may prescribe. All installations must be made under the supervision of the city's electrical service provider., and all wiring must be in accordance with the city's construction standards for electrical connections, and national and state electrical codes and the national and state electrical safety codes 1 .
   B.   If connection is requested by a property owner in good standing, a meter installation charge of twenty five dollars ($25.00) will be collected to connect a meter during normal business hours; and a reconnection charge of fifty dollars ($50.00) will be collected for any meter installed outside of normal business hours shall be charged and will be due and owing Immediately.
   C.   When a meter is disconnected, whether by customer request or for reason of nonpayment, there shall be a disconnection charge of thirty-five dollars ($35.00) collected to cover the cost of disconnecting the meter. Meters will be disconnected only during normal business hours.
   D.   No connection, reconnection or reinstatement of electric services shall be made unless and until all prior unpaid utility service charges (including electrical, water, sewer and garbage collection charges and fees) have been paid in full. (Ord. 443, 2-9-2017; amd. Ord. 463, 12-10-2020)
