The Mayor shall have charge of, and supervision over, the Police Department and shall appoint, in accordance with applicable law, all members and officers thereof subject to the approval of the Council. All appointments shall be subject to the qualifications, terms and conditions prescribed by law and these ordinances, as well as all policies adopted by the Mayor, Council and/or Department.
