§ 30.01 COMPOSITION; TERM; QUALIFICATIONS.
   The Council shall consist of four members or Aldermen. Two Aldermen shall represent each ward of the city. At each city election, one Alderman shall be elected from each ward, as described in this code. An Alderman shall hold office for a term of four years and until qualification of the Alderman’s successor. No person is eligible for the office of Alderman unless the person, for at least 60 days preceding the election to office, is a resident of the ward electing the Alderman or of an area which has been annexed by the city and placed in the ward. A candidate must meet all other requirements prescribed by law.
