The minimum lot area shall be not less than 5,000 square feet for a single-family dwelling. For a two-family dwelling (duplex), there shall be a minimum lot area of 7,000 square feet. For multiple-family dwellings (three or more units), there shall be a minimum lot area of 9,000 square feet, plus an additional 500 square feet for each additional unit above the minimum of three units provided that only 50% of the lot area is covered by the structure.
