Permits are required before any electrical work may be started within the city. All electrical permits must be obtained through the State of South Dakota. No electrical equipment shall be installed within or on any building, structure or premises, publicly or privately owned, nor shall any alteration or addition be made in any such existing equipment without first securing a permit as required by and through the State of South Dakota. Failure to obtain a permit as required herein is a violation of this chapter. Penalties for such violations are as set forth in § 10.99 of this code of ordinances.
