The Mayor with the approval of the City Council may appoint a Director of the Recreation. He or she shall hold office at the pleasure of the Mayor and receive such salary as may be determined. The Director shall have charge, supervision and direction of the recreation program as determined by the city government. The city may also appoint and employ other employees as it may deem necessary and shall prescribe their fees and duties in compensation.
