Except when acting in self-defense, as that term is defined under state law, no person shall discharge a firearm within the Town Municipal Building located at 206 West Main Street, Plainfield, Indiana, the Police Headquarters Building located at 1075 West Main Street, Plainfield Indiana, the Town Recreation Center located at 651 Vestal Road, Plainfield, Indiana, the Al and Jan Barker Sports Complex, or in any park, trail or other public place owned by or being used for a public purpose by the town.
