Pursuant to I.C. 5-4-1-18, the Clerk-Treasurer is hereby authorized to purchase a blanket bond to cover the faithful performance of all employees, commission members and persons acting on the town’s behalf, including the Town Judge, the Town Clerk-Treasurer and any employees directed to file an individual bond by the Town Council in an amount equal to $15,000 for each $1,000,000 of receipts of the officer’s office during the last complete fiscal year before the purchase of the bond, provided, however, that said amount may not be less than $15,000 nor more than $300,000.
