§ 51.193 SINGLE METER FOR MULTIPLE PROPERTIES.
   (A)   Multiple lots or buildings. If two or more residential lots, parcels of real estate, or buildings discharging wastewater into the town’s sewerage system, directly or indirectly, are town water consumers and the quantity of water is measured by a single water meter, the owner of the meter will be billed for the quantity of water used. The minimum charge and the sewage rates and charges shall apply to each of the number of residential lots, parcels of real estate, or buildings served through the single water meter.
   (B)   Multiple dwelling units.
      (1)   If two or more dwelling units (i.e., trailers, apartments, or housekeeping rooms) discharging sanitary sewage, water, or other liquids directly or indirectly into the town’s sanitary sewage system use water measured by a single water meter, the owner of the meter will be billed for the quantity of water used. The minimum charge and the sewage rates and charges shall apply to each of the number of residential lots, parcels of real estate, or buildings served through the single water meter.
      (2)   For mobile home communities, the number of dwelling units shall be computed and interpreted as the total number of dwelling units located and installed in the community that are served through the meter.
      (3)   A dwelling unit is a room or rooms or space in which cooking, facilities are provided.
