§ 51.009 INSTALLATION AND SPECIFICATION.
   (A)   The size, shape, alignment, materials, or construction of a building or house lateral sewer and the methods to be used in excavating, placing the pipe, jointing, testing, and backfilling the trench shall conform to the requirements of the latest editions of the town’s construction standards, Indiana Plumbing Rules, and other applicable rules and regulations of the town. In the event that code requirements conflict, the town’s construction standards shall take precedence.
   (B)   No person shall hereafter connect or reconnect roof downspouts, footing drains, areaway drains, driveways, parking lots, sump pumps, or other sources of surface runoff or ground water to a building or house lateral sewer or building or house drain which is in turn connected directly or indirectly to the sewerage system. All property owners who have such connections must disconnect the same prior to January 1, 2018. All such sources of surface runoff or ground water shall be discharged in accordance with town standards.
