(A) The driver of a vehicle shall stop in obedience to a stop sign at an intersection where a stop sign is erected at one or more entrances thereto and shall proceed cautiously yielding to the vehicles not so obligated to stop which are within the intersection or approaching so close as to constitute an immediate hazard, unless traffic at such intersection is controlled by a police officer on duty, in which event the direction of the police officer shall be complied with.
(B) The Chief of Police or any other person designated by the Town Council shall post or cause to be posted suitable signs for all such through streets and stop intersections.
(C) Violation of this schedule is declared to be an infraction punishable by a fine of not less than $1 or more than $25.
(D) The following named intersections be controlled by stop signs in the following manner:
