§ 70.08 ENFORCEMENT OF YIELD SIGN REGULATIONS.
   (A)   Purpose. The purpose of this section is to regulate compliance with the yield signs directing the flow of traffic on public streets within the town for the protection of public health, safety and welfare.
   (B)   Enforcement.
      (1)   A driver approaching a yield sign, in obedience to such sign, shall slow down to a reasonable speed and be prepared to come to a complete stop if a vehicle or pedestrian with the right-of-way is approaching from another direction or is in the intersection so closely as to constitute an immediate hazard.
      (2)   A driver shall obey a yield sign unless traffic at such intersection is controlled by a police officer, in which event every driver shall comply with the direction of the police officer.
      (3)   An officer of the Town Metropolitan Police Department may issue a citation for a failure to comply with a yield sign within the corporate boundaries of the town.
