1-8-16: COMPLAINTS; PROCEDURE:
If a person is charged with a violation of this chapter, the complaint shall be filed with the mayor or city recorder. The mayor or city recorder shall investigate the complaint and shall give the person an opportunity to be heard. A written report of the findings and the recommendation of the mayor or the city recorder shall be filed with the city council. If the city council finds that the person has knowingly and intentionally violated this chapter, it may dismiss, remove from office, suspend or take such other appropriate actions with respect to the person in accordance with state laws, city ordinances and city personnel policies and procedures. The city council may also rescind or void any contract or subcontract entered into pursuant to that transaction without returning any part of the consideration received by the city.
