11-2-18: VIOLATIONS AND PENALTIES:
   A.   General: Any person violating any of the provisions of this title shall be guilty of a Class C misdemeanor and, upon conviction of any such violation, shall be subject to penalty as provided in section 1-4-1 of this Code.
   B.   Sales Prior To Approval: Any owner or agent of the owner of any land located in a "subdivision", as defined in this title, who transfers or sells, or offers to sell any land in the subdivision before a plat of the subdivision has been approved and recorded as required in this title, is guilty of a Class C misdemeanor for each lot or parcel transferred or sold and, upon conviction, subject to penalty as provided in section 1-4-1 of this Code.    C.   Exemptions Not Applicable: The description by metes and bounds and the instrument of transfer or other documents used in the process of selling or transferring does not exempt the transaction from a violation or from the penalties or remedies provided for in this title.
