The building board of appeals shall meet in regular sessions and elect from their members a chairman and vice chairman. Their duties shall respectively be such as are usually carried by such officers. Officers shall hold office for one year, or until their successors are elected. The building official and the fire chief shall be ex officio members and the building official shall act as secretary of the board. The board shall adopt rules necessary to the conduct of its affairs and shall keep minutes of its proceedings.
