3-10-5: VARIANCE:

When it is in the public interest, the fire chief, or his duly appointed representative, may grant a variance from the strict requirements of this chapter relating to the following:

(A) Location of fire hydrants.

(B) Fire hydrant type and specifications for fire hydrants.
