The planning commission, upon appeal from the applicant or any other interested person within three hundred feet (300') of said property as per section 10-3-7 of this title, shall evaluate and approve, conditionally approve or disapprove said map and may at its discretion, grant variances as per section 10-8-5 of this chapter. The planning commission shall take action within fifty (50) days of the filing of a request for hearing or the map will be deemed as approved unless the applicant has agreed to an extension of time.
