§ 156.045 PER-VEHICLE SPACE REQUIREMENTS.
   (A)   For the purpose of this subchapter, 180 square feet of lot or floor area, which has a means of ingress and egress from an alley or street, shall be deemed parking space for one vehicle. The space may be included as part of a required open space for a front, side or rear yard.
   (B)   On corner or through lots, parking space may not be included as part of required yards lying adjacent to either street.
   (C)   Parking spaces and access driveways required in residential districts, when used in compliance with the provisions of this chapter, shall be paved or otherwise surfaced with an all-weather, dust-proof material. That part of the driveway connecting from the curb line to the property shall be paved with concrete or asphaltic materials.
   (D)   An accessory off-street parking space must be at least 8½ feet wide and be at least 18 feet long, having a minimum loading area of 153 square feet, exclusive of access drives, aisles, ramps, column, or work areas. On areas surfaced, the parking stalls shall be marked with paint or other equivalent method.
   (E)   Handicapped parking spaces must be in accord with the Illinois Accessibility Code.
