§ 151.01 MINIMUM STANDARDS.
   (A)   Pursuant to the city Electrical Commission's recommendation, the following are adopted as safe and practical standards for the installation, alteration and use of electrical equipment in the city:
      (1)   The most current edition of the National Electrical Code, as recommended by the National Fire Protection Association, three copies of which are on file in the office of the City Clerk, is adopted and incorporated as part of this code of ordinances as fully as if set out at length herein.
      (2)   The rules and regulations regarding the installation, alteration and use of electrical equipment as adopted by the AmerenCIPS and Illinois Rural Electric Cooperative, three copies of which are on file in the office of the Clerk, are adopted and incorporated as part of this code of ordinances as fully as if set out at length herein.
   (B)   In the event of a conflict between the minimum installation standards adopted in division (A) above, the more stringent standards shall prevail.
   (C)   Except as otherwise expressly provided in this chapter, no person shall make any electrical installation in the city except in conformity with the minimum standards adopted in division (A) above.
