§ 96.05 NUMBERING BUILDINGS.
   (A)   For the purpose of properly numbering houses in the city, Madison Street shall be used as a dividing line for numbering east and west and Washington Street shall be used as a dividing line for numbering north and south.
   (B)   Running east and west from Madison Street, the houses shall be numbered beginning with the number 100, and a new number of hundreds shall be used for the beginning of each block, upon each and every street running east and west from Madison Street the method of numbering shall be systematically used so all streets shall be numbered in a uniform manner east and west of Madison Street. The odd numbers shall be upon the south side of each street and the even numbers shall be upon the north side.
   (C)   Running north and south from Washington Street, the houses shall be numbered beginning with the number 100, and a new number of hundreds shall be taken and used for the beginning of each block, upon each and every street running north and south from Washington Street, which method of numbering shall be systematically used to all streets shall be numbered in a uniform manner north and south of Washington Street. The even numbers shall be upon the east side of each street and the odd numbers shall be upon the west side.
   (D)   In numbering houses upon the streets of the city, a distance of 20 feet shall be used for each number, whether there is any houses thereon or not.
