§ 93.002 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   CRAFT. Any raft not permanently attached to the shore.
   DISTANCE. The shortest horizontal distance from the point designated, between the points designated or measured at right angles to the line designated.
   DRAINAGE AREA. The entire area of land and water that drains into the reservoir or into Big Blue Creek, Chamberlain Branch of any tributary or other stream above the public water supply dams.
   DROP INLET. That part of a dam by which water flows from or near the surface of the reservoir into a vertical shaft and, by means of a conduit below and under the dam, into a water downstream from the dam.
   HIGH WATER LINE. The contour known as 604.3 feet, referred to as the United States Government elevations, as obtained from the bench mark established by the city.
   INTAKE. The place where the water supply for the city is taken from the reservoir.
   PREMISES. Impounded areas and adjacent areas of land owned by the city in Sections 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 15 and 16 of Township 5 South of the base line, Range 3 West of the Fourth Principal Meridian, within the county.
   RESERVOIR. The artificial lake and water impounded therein by means of the public water supply dams constructed across the valley of Big Blue Creek in the northwest quarter of Section 16, Township 5 South, Range 3 West of this county and Chamberlain Branch in the southwest quarter of Section 3, Township 5 South, Range 3 West of this county and by any other structure constructed within the limits of the drainage area, which are used or for use as a public water supply for the city.
   SHORELINE. The extended point where the plane of the surface of the waters of the reservoir touches the land.
   WATERCOURSE. Any stream, natural or artificial channel, spring or depression of any kind in which water flows continuously or intermittently over any part of the drainage area, directly or indirectly, into any part of the reservoir.
