Any cat impounded as provided in § 91.60 may, to the extent permitted by the laws or regulations of this state and of the local Public Health Department, be redeemed by the other or keeper of the cat upon payment to the City Clerk of the fee as shall be fixed by the City Council from time to time for the care and feeding of the cat for each day or part of a day it has been impounded. Any cat impounded as provided in § 91.60, not redeemed within seven days after being impounded, may be disposed of in a manner consistent with the laws of this state.
