(A)   The City Treasurer shall keep all money belonging to the city in his or her hands separate and distinct from his or her own money.
   (B)   The Treasurer shall not use, either directly or indirectly, city money or warrants in his or her custody and keeping, for his or her own use and benefit or that of any other person.
   (C)   Any violation of this section shall subject the Treasurer to immediate removal from office by the City Council, which is hereby authorized to declare the Treasurer's office vacant, in which case his or her successor shall be appointed and shall hold office for the remainder of the unexpired term.
