(A) It shall be the duty of the City Clerk to devote his or her full time to the operation of the office of Clerk.

(B) It shall be the Clerk's duty to collect all money due the city for licenses, for use of waters and sewers, for sales of gas and all taxes.

(C) The Clerk shall maintain proper records showing the receipt and disbursement of all funds.

(D) It shall be the duty of the Clerk to maintain records of all meetings of the City Council and to record the proceedings of the meetings in proper books provided for that purpose.

(E) The Clerk shall perform other duties as prescribed by the statutes of the state.

(F) The Clerk shall record, in the book kept for that purpose, all ordinances passed by the Council. At the foot of the record of each ordinance so recorded, the Clerk shall make a memorandum of the date of passage and of the publication of the ordi- nance. The record and memorandum, or a certified copy thereof, shall be prima facie evidence of the passage and legal publication of the ordinances for all purposes.

(G) The Clerk shall prepare all commissions, licenses, permits and other official documents required to be issued by the Clerk by this code and shall attest all deeds for the sale of real estate owned and conveyed by the city.

(H) The Clerk shall, without delay, upon the adjournment of each meeting of the Council, deliver to the committees thereto and to the officers of the city all petitions, communications, reports, reso- lutions, claims and other papers referred to those committees or officers by the Council. The Clerk also shall, without delay, deliver to the Mayor all ordinances and resolutions in his or her custody which may require approval or other action by the Mayor.

(I) The City Clerk shall give each person paying money into the treasury a receipt therefor, specifying the date of payment and upon what account paid.
(J) In addition to the duties prescribed in divisions (A) through (I) above, the Clerk shall perform other and further duties pertaining to the office of Clerk as are or may be imposed by this code or other ordinances.
