§ 52.31 SERVICE CONNECTION PERMIT; FEE.
   (A)   No connection with a water main shall be made without a permit being issued and 48 hours notice having been given to the Water Superintendent.
   (B)   All connections shall be made and all such work done at the expense of the city, who shall furnish all necessary materials to bring the water connection to the nearest property line of the property to be served, or 60 feet. The city shall not be obligated to bring water connections more than 60 feet from the water main, and all further extensions of the connection shall be made and work done at the expense of the applicant, provided that the work shall be under the supervision of the Superintendent and no connection shall be covered until the work has been inspected by the Superintendent.
   (C)   Applications for the connections shall be made to the City Clerk and a fee in an amount as shall be established from time to time by the City Council shall be paid for each connection. In the event an additional meter is required for the premises served, there shall be an additional charge in an amount as shall be established from time to time by the City Council for each meter.
   (D)   An installation fee in the amount of $850 shall be charged for each new meter installed. An additional fee of $5 per lineal foot will be assessed after the first 60 lineal feet. Any inactive service without a meter will be charged $150 for meter installation.
