A. Initial Term Of Office: For the members initially appointed to the planning and zoning commission, three (3) shall have a term of office of three (3) years; two (2) shall have a term of office of two (2) years; and two (2) shall have a term of office of one year. In addition, such initially appointed members shall serve for the period of time between their appointment and the first Monday in June; the calculation of their term of office shall be based upon a termination date of the first Monday in June of the year of termination of their term of office. For initial appointments, the mayor shall determine which appointees serve for which term.
B. Subsequent Terms: Following the initial term of office for appointed members of the planning and zoning commission, all members shall each be appointed for a term of three (3) years. The terms of all members shall expire on the first Monday in June in the last year of their respective terms, regardless of the actual date of their appointment. Members whose terms have expired may continue to serve until a successor is appointed.
C. Publication: The village shall take such actions as shall be necessary to maintain records and publicize the terms of the planning and zoning commission members, including, but not limited to, publicizing such records on the village's website. (Ord. 2012-08, 5-7-2012)
