10-9-1: FEMA MAPS AND COUNTY REGULATIONS ADOPTED:
   A.   The village acknowledges its sole responsibility for its standing in the national flood insurance program (NFIP) including the notification of the director, FEMA, IDNR-OWR, COE, NRCS, the soil and water conservation district, the United States fish and wildlife service, the Illinois environmental protection agency, and the United States environmental protection agency of any changes or deviations which the village makes from the Kane County stormwater ordinance (KCSO), and further resolves to adopt, pursuant to section 404(a) of the KCSO, the most current version of any maps adopted and published by FEMA for regulation under the NFIP. The village further resolves to automatically adopt any amendments, additions, revisions or substitutions thereto or therefor on an ongoing basis until such point in time as the corporate authorities of the village shall rescind this policy of automatic adoption of updates.
   B.   As indicated in subsection A of this section, the village resolves and declares its intent to automatically adopt by reference all amendments to the KCSO as may be adopted by the county at any time in the future, and specifically to automatically adopt by reference the most current version of the FIRM and other maps adopted and published by FEMA for regulation under the NFIP.    C.   At the time of most recent amendment, the village adopts the flood insurance rate map with an effective date of June 2, 2015. Further, the village prospectively adopts any future revisions thereto. (Ord. 2015-O-02, 2-2-2015)
