8-1-11: OPENINGS IN PUBLIC WAYS:
It is unlawful to construct or maintain any opening or stairway in any public street or alley or sidewalk or other public place without a permit from the village. All such lawfully maintained openings shall be guarded by a suitably strong cover or railing, with the approval of the village. (1990 Code § 15.116; amd. 2011 Code; Ord. 2022-O-21, 7-18-2022)
