A. The chief of police may make or prescribe such rules and regulations for the conduct and guidance of the members of the police department as he/she shall deem advisable, and such rules shall be binding on members of the police department.
B. The respective rank and grade of the members of the police department may be prescribed by regulation of the chief of police.
C. All rules adopted by the board of trustees or the village manager shall supersede any conflicting rule prescribed by the chief of police.
D. Acceptance of a position with the police department shall constitute acceptance of and shall be an agreement to abide by the rules and regulations as may from time to time be adopted. (Ord. 2006-25, 10-2-2006)
