6-1-2: DEPARTMENT CREATED:
There is hereby created a police department for the village, being an executive department of the village. The department shall consist of the chief of police, deputy chief of police, if selected, and of such number of captains, lieutenants, sergeants and patrol officers as may be provided from time to time by the village board.
