The Board of Adjustment shall have all the powers and duties as authorized by G.S. §§ 160D-1-9(d), 160D-302, 160D-403(b), 160D-405, 160D-406, 160D-702, 160D-705, and 160D-1405 and as otherwise provided for in this section. Generally, these powers and duties are the following:
(A) Hear and decide all appeals from decisions made by the Zoning Administrator;
(B) Hear and decide appeals from the Zoning Administrator which require interpretation of the zoning ordinance;
(C) Hear and grant variances from provisions of the zoning ordinance; and
(D) Hear and grant appeals to replace one nonconforming use with another or replace a nonconforming use which has been destroyed.
