§ 94.001 APPROVAL, ACCEPTANCE OF NEW STREETS.
   (A)   Before any new street offered for dedication to the town is accepted as such, and officially recognized as a town-maintained street, the Mayor and Council must give its approval, finding that the street complies with engineering standards set by the board established by the North Carolina General Statutes and the State Department of Transportation and that the best interests of the town would be served by accepting the street as a town street.
   (B)   The standards and policy of the board as set out in the Street Department management policy on file in the Town Clerk's office is hereby adopted by reference as if fully set out in this chapter.
