§ 92.17 FIRE PROTECTION DURING CONSTRUCTION.
   (A)   Within the boundaries of the town, construction on new/existing commercial buildings and subdivisions during construction phase shall comply with the following: North Carolina Building Code: Fire Code § 1412, Water Supply for Fire Protection.
   (B)   Wherever possible, the source of the water supply will be through the use of water lines and fire hydrants installed as part of the development requirements. These lines must be properly connected and functional prior to the arrival of combustible materials. An alternative source may be used if it is determined to be an "approved water supply." The Town Administrator or his or her designee shall determine what constitutes an approved water supply.
   (C)   An approved water supply for fire protection, either temporary or permanent, shall be made available as soon as combustible material arrives on the site.
