§ 91.05 ABATEMENT BY TOWN.
   If the person upon whom the notice is served fails, neglects or refuses to remedy the condition within the time allowed, the Town Administrator or designee shall cause the condition to be remedied. After five days, the town may fine the owner and/or occupant up to $50. After ten days, the town may take any necessary action to remedy the condition. The expense of the action and a fine of $500 shall be paid by the person in default, and if not paid shall be a lien upon the land or premises where the trouble arose, and shall be collected as unpaid taxes in accordance with G.S. § 160A-193.
