(A) This chapter shall be applicable within the corporate limits of the town.
(B) No employee of the Animal Control Bureau shall have the authority to enforce this chapter within any other corporate limits or jurisdictions, unless an interlocal agreement pursuant to G.S. §§ 160A-460 et seq. is executed by the town and the incorporated township. Such an interlocal agreement may be entered into at any time, provided the appropriate resolution is adopted by the governing body of any municipality or township agreeing that this chapter shall be enforced by the animal control officers, as defined in § 90.003, within the corporate limits or jurisdiction of the municipality.
