§ 35.039 TERMS OF MEMBERS.
   (A)   The term of office of a member of the Municipal Utility Commission shall commence on July 1. The term of office of the first member of the Commission shall commence immediately upon their appointment and qualification, but the length of their respective terms shall be deemed to commence July 1.
   (B)   The first membership of said Commission shall consist of two members (residents of the city) for a term of one year; two members (residents of the city) for a term of two years; one member (resident of the city) for a term of three years; one member (nonresident of the city) for a term of one year; and one member (nonresident of the city) for a term of two years.
   (C)   Upon the expiration of the terms of the first members, successors shall be appointed for terms of three years each. It shall be permissible for any member to be reappointed upon the expiration of any term, providing such member is then and continues to be qualified for membership according to the provisions of this subchapter.
