§ 35.016 MEMBERSHIP; TERMS; OATH; REMOVAL FROM OFFICE.
   (A)   The City Planning Commission shall consist of six members who shall be appointed in accordance with KRS 100.133. All members of the Commission shall serve without compensation, but reimbursement of expenses may be authorized. The term of office of ex officio members shall correspond to their respective city office official tenure. The term of office of citizen members shall be four years, except that the original terms shall be staggered so that they serve one, two, three, and four years respectively. Appointments or reappointments and the filling of vacancies shall continue the staggered pattern. All vacancies, whether by resignation, dismissal, or expiration of the term of office, shall be within 60 days by the appropriate appointing authority or as otherwise provided by KRS 100.147.
   (B)   Each member shall be administered the official oath of office before entering upon his or her duties. A citizen member may be removed by the Mayor, with approval of the City Council, for inefficiency, neglect of duty, malfeasance, or conflict of interest. The removed member shall have the right of appeal in the manner prescribed by KRS 100.157.
