§ 111.01 ADVERTISING ON POLES PROHIBITED.
   (A)   It shall be unlawful within the corporate limits of the city for any person, firm, association, or corporation to post or erect by any means, to, upon, or against any object, natural or artificial, any advertising of any sort or kind; or to post placards of any kind on telephone, telegraph, or television poles or on any tree along on in clear vision of any street or alley in the city; or to erect any billboard within the city for the purpose of displaying thereon, advertising matter of any description, including placards setting for the pictures or merits of candidates for office in either a primary or general election.
   (B)   It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, association, or corporation in the city to lease or let, or give its consent to the placing of such advertising matter on their property, or to consent to the erection of billboards thereon for any such purpose.
