Any person, firm, or corporation violating any provision of this chapter, or any rule or regulation promulgated thereunder, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine, and costs of prosecution, or imprisonment in the county jail for a period of not more than 90 days, or both such fine and imprisonment, at the direction of the court.
