It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation to keep or maintain, or suffer or permit to be kept or maintained, within the corporate limits of the city, any live horse, pony, mule, or equine animal; any cow or bovine animal; any hog or swine; any fowl; or any sheep or goat owned by or under the control of such person, firm, or corporation within 250 feet of any dwelling house within the city.
