§ 39.04 SOCIAL SECURITY.
   (A)   From and after December 5, 1955, all persons representing the city, in the capacity of regular employees of said city, and all elective officers of said city, shall be and are now declared to be eligible to obtain, be given, and accept the benefit of all state and federal Social Security statutes and regulations.
   (B)   The City Clerk-Treasurer shall forthwith communicate with the Department of Economic Security, Division of Personal Security at Frankfort, Kentucky executing and forwarding to it all necessary forms and documents and ascertain the amount of funds that will be required to put this section in operation; and that having obtained such information, he or she will obtain from the city treasury a check for the necessary amount, and forward it to said Department and Division.
   (C)   The City Treasurer is directed to draw such a check on demand of the City Clerk-Treasurer against moneys in the General Fund of the city; and hereafter to deduct from the compensation of any such employees any monthly amount that the employee may have to contribute to the Social Security Fund, forwarding such sums to said Department and Division each month in payment of the premiums due by each employee to said fund for the previous month.
