(A) The city shall supply to the Chief of Police, Assistant Chief, and each police officer two complete winter uniforms, two complete summer uniforms, and all leather-wear, badges, and insignia, the same to remain the property of the city and shall be returned to the city upon the recipient ceasing to be Chief of Police, Assistant Chief, or police officer. The city shall also pay the expense, not to exceed $500 per individual, of maintaining said uniforms, insignia, and the like in good state of repair.
(B) Above uniforms shall be supplied at the time police officer begins to work for the city.
