In addition to the above, the city shall pay the premium for the official bonds of the members of the Police Department, which bonds are hereby fixed at the minimum sum of $5,000 each; and the city shall also pay the premium to provide hospitalization insurance benefits for the Chief of Police, Assistant Chief, and each police officer (the individual to be responsible for payment of the premium for hospitalization benefits he or she chooses to undertake for other members of his or her family).
