§ 152.562 PLANNING BOARD CONSIDERATION OF PROPOSED AMENDMENTS.
   (A)   If the Board of Commissioners sets a date for a public hearing regarding a proposed amending ordinance, then the Board shall also refer the proposed amendment to the Planning Board for its consideration.
   (B)   The Planning Board shall endeavor to review the proposed amendment in such a timely fashion that any recommendations it may have can be presented to the Board of Commissioners at the public hearing on the amendment; however, if the Planning Board is not prepared to make recommendations at the public hearing, it may request the Board of Commissioners to delay final action on the amendment until such time as the Planning Board can present its recommendations.
   (C)   (1)   The Board of Commissioners need not wait for the recommendations of the Planning Board before taking action on a proposed amendment, nor is the Board of Commissioners bound by any recommendations of the Planning Board at the time the Board takes action.
      (2)   In addition, the Board of Commissioners may receive the recommendations of the Planning Board after the public hearing, if the vote is not to be taken contemporaneously with the public hearing.
