§ 31.33 EQUIPMENT.
   (A)   The Department shall be equipped with such apparatus and other equipment as may be required from time to time to maintain its efficiency and properly protect life and property from fire.
   (B)    Recommendations of apparatus and equipment needed shall be made by the Chief, and, after approval by the Board, shall be purchased in a manner as may be designated by the Board. Provided that nothing herein prohibits any Fire Department nonprofit corporation created pursuant to § 32.30 from purchasing equipment and apparatus with its own funds as it sees fit.
   (C)   All equipment of the Department shall be safely and conveniently housed in those places as may be designated by the Board.
   (D)   No person shall use any fire apparatus or equipment without proper authority from the Fire Chief or Town Board for any private purpose. No person shall take away or conceal any article used in any way by the Fire Department.
   (E)   No person shall take away or conceal any article used in any way by the Department.
   (F)   No member of the public shall enter any place where fire apparatus is housed or handle any apparatus or equipment belonging to the Department unless accompanied by, or having the special permission of, an officer or authorized member of the Department. This provision shall not apply to town officials and employees who may need to enter on official town business or for other legitimate reasons.
