§ 31.27 APPOINTMENT OF THE CHIEF.
   (A)   There is hereby created the office of Chief of the Fire Department, such Chief to be appointed by the Board of Commissioners to serve at the Board’s pleasure.
   (B)   The Chief shall be technically qualified by training and experience and shall have the ability to lead people and hold their respect and confidence.
   (C)   The Board of Commissioners shall have the authority to demote, suspend, or dismiss the Fire Chief.
   (D)   The Chief shall report to the Board of Commissioners through the Public Safety Commissioner and Mayor.
